Lauren Dauphin

Lauren began her dancing career at the young age of 4 with Florence Abel’s School of Dance in Chatham, Ontario.

Her love and talent for dance quickly developed as she completed her Tap examinations through BATD, achieving highest honour marks.  She studied Ballet through RAD where she ranked top of her class receiving highly commendable grades.

Her enthusiasm for dance and theatrics continued well into her teenage years as she could be found centre stage in many plays and musicals.  It was during this time that she won numerous awards for outstanding original choreography and excellence in ensemble performance at the Ontario Sears Drama Festivals.

Upon graduating high school, Lauren attended York University where she studied Business with a minor in Dance.  She studied under the prestigious Claire Wootton, and it was at this time that her love for the performing arts flourished to greater heights.  While living in Toronto, she took part in numerous dance workshops where she developed a passion for the many different styles of dance including Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop.

Lauren exemplifies technique and enthusiasm for dance and hopes to instill this exuberance in her students.

Miss Lauren began teaching with KMSD when we opened our doors back in 2009 and we’re excited to have her teaching in our 15 season!!
