Kelly McGregor

Kelly McGregor began her dance training at the age of 4, studying Ballet, Highland, Irish, Jazz, and Modern at the Sheila Milne School of Dance in Owen Sound.  She successfully completed all student level Ballet exams, earning her Elementary level with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), as well as Elementary level in Modern with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD).

Kelly competed throughout North America in Highland and Irish as well as studying and completing teaching exams earning her Member status with the British Association of Teacher’s of Dance (BATD) for Highland.  She is currently a member of ScotDance Canada as well.

In addition to competing and exam work, Kelly has always loved performing choreography and being on stage.  This allowed her opportunities to perform throughout North America as part of the Owen Sound Celtic Dance Company, where she performed with her group at various venues including two performances at Walt Disney World in Florida.

Kelly was also part of the performing group Celtic Accent, under the direction of Ann Milne, allowing her opportunities to dance twice at the Royal Glasgow Concert Hall in Scotland as part of the productions “Flame of Wrath” and “Seanchaidh” with the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band, as well as performances throughout North America.

Kelly has over 20 years of teaching experience and loves sharing her passion for dance, performance, and technique with her students.  She has been with KMSD since our first day in 2009 and she’s such an important part of our dance family.  She is so excited to be teaching Highland for her 15th year at KMSD!
